THE CANOGA PARK MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
The largest and best event in the San Fernando Valley. The Canoga Park Neighborhood Council is a proud sponsor of this community event that attracts over 30,000 spectators from the surrounding communities to the business district of Old Town Canoga Park. More than one hundred floats, marching bands, color guards, classic car clubs, civic and military organizations participate every year. The theme in 2007 was "Honoring Our Hometown Heroes."

THE DIA DE LOS MUERTOS (Day of the Dead) FESTIVAL
This is a holiday that represents the merging of an ancient Aztec celebration with Catholicism. The tradition grew from the belief that the souls of the dead return each year to visit with and be entertained by their loved ones. Many of the traditions are consistent with ALL SOULS AND ALL SAINTS DAY.  It is a day of celebration rather than sadness about death. The Canoga Park Neighborhood Council is also a proud sponsor of this community festival. Last year it attracted over 20,000 visitors to the arts district of Old Town Center Canoga Park.
